Jubilee Celebration allows us to take a good look at the past. They remind us
of the courage and generosity of the early pioneers; they present us with
inspiring model of faith, hope and determination; and they remind us that any
valuable achievement can only come as a result of commitment and hard work.
In the book “Brother of St. Gabriel – A 100 Year History of Indian mission”,
under the heading “St. Gabriel’s School, Jabalpur”, we can read: “Beginning
was really hard. The school building had to be constructed. The Brother had to
inspire confidence in the local population. There was acute shortage of funds.
Gradually, with great trust on God, the school was built up brick by brick

• We give thanks for the early pioneers and for the entire Brother. Teachers
and other Staff member who, during those fifty years, have contributed to the
development and quality of that beautiful Institution. Under their professional
guidance, thousand of students have acquired knowledge and competency to face
life’s challenges and to be of service to society.
• We congratulate all past and present-day student of St. Gabriel’s Higher
Secondary School for their various achievements, and we wish them well for the
future. We pray that they may always be good witness of the values held high in
St. Gabriel’s, and that they may be builder of peace and harmony in today’s
world.
• We give thank to all church and civil authority, priests and religious,
parents, friend and well-wishes for their precious help and support to St.
Gabriel’s Higher Secondary school. We appreciate their concern and
collaboration.
• and we ask for God’s abundant blessing upon all past, present and future
member of the St. Gabriel’s School Community. Let us pray that all will
continue to walk on St. Louis de Mont fort’s footsteps, being ever attentive to
other and ever attentive to others and ready to give hand to those in need.
